The Didattica.Mente Musica Cultural Association organizes, in partnership with esteemed professionals in the world of music and prestigious associations in the Bergamo area, a high-profile project called Baroque Academy.

It is a string ensemble formed through a selection process that undertakes, under the guidance of expert teachers and recognized performers, study days on baroque practice, at the end of which one or more final concerts are planned.

Participation is valid for the purpose of recognizing training credits for students of the Secco Suardo Music High School in Bergamo , with which the Didattica.Mente Musica association has stipulated a three-year agreement (PCTO).

Purposes

Cultivate a passion for classical music in young people, valuing dedication and commitment.

Organize opportunities for young people to meet and share music, as well as opportunities to perform in public.

Create awareness in the path of study and musical growth, playing alongside professionals.

Deepen your study of the Italian and European Baroque repertoire in a small group.

Strengthen ties with other local associations.

Recipients

String musicians aged between 10 and 25 who have reached an intermediate level of skill or higher (equivalent to at least 3-4 years of active study) or who have already had at least one significant experience of chamber music. Maximum number of participants in the initiative: 12/14 students.

● October-November 2023 registration collection

● November-December 2023 sending of program and assignment of parts

● December 23-January 24 communication of test schedule

● Group rehearsals from March 2024

●May-June 2024 concerts on dates to be defined (Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon/evening)

Places of performance

Rehearsals: Didattica.Mente Musica registered office via G. Lazzati 32 Spirano. Alternative locations will be evaluated on an ongoing basis based on the artistic needs that emerge.
